Global Experiences' internships program in Paris, France

Audrey Hepburn once said "Paris is always a good idea," and we couldn't agree more. Renowned for its elegance, romanticism, exquisite cuisine, and unparalleled beauty, Paris is a destination at the top of any enthusiastic world traveler's list. Paris is broken up into 20 arrondissements - or 'neighborhoods' - each offering a different feel and reflection upon the vast history of France. In exploring the city, it is common to stumble upon little communities, markets, and squares where you least expect them and to find yourself suddenly standing in front of an internationally recognized and historically significant site.

Paris, recognized internationally as a leading center for business and culture, is a wonderful choice for those looking to spend a few months interning abroad. Known as the City of Lights, Paris offers a unique combination of romance, history, and a forward thinking and influential work culture where the work week is officially 35 hours. An internship in Paris, France is very unique as certain placements require some French language skills and positions are competitive as overseas college students compete with French students for work experience. Internship placements are available in a wide range of fields but some of the most popular fall within the realms of fashion, business, and marketing.

Internships in Paris, France are a great way to experience the city up close and personal, taking the necessary time to appreciate all of its charm all the while building your resume and gaining valuable French language skills. The summer program consists 8-week internships, and the spring/fall programs consist of a 3-week language course followed by a 9-week internship.

Housing: Global Experiences interns in Paris live in a student residence. Each individual studio apartment is equipped with a single bed, ensuite bathroom, desk, linens, a small wardrobe, and a kitchenette. You can expect Wi-Fi throughout the building as well as a variety of common areas for meeting up and hanging out with friends. Additionally, you will find a laundry room with credit card-operated washing machines and dryers. The accommodation is a short walk to a number of public transport stops to take you straight into the heart of the city.

Language: Intermediate French required for certain career fields. All participants who have any French language background will take part in a brief language assessment by phone.
