Program Fee-If you are being accepted on exchange basis, you will only have to pay the registration fee of approximately € 449,00. The fee includes course materials, chartered airport shuttle select arrival and departure days, welcome reception, lunches, farewell dinner, excursions, socials and company visits, local bus ticket. Housing in single rooms is from € 270,00 to € 370,00 for the two weeks and is not included in the registration and tuition fees.

Tuition-Student exchange agreements between the U of A and foreign institutions stipulate that outbound U of A students pay for U of A tuition & on campus fees during their term abroad. Students are charged according to their major/college tuition rates. Students enroll in courses at a foreign institution.

Airfare-Students are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

Meals-This budget assumes a $150/week budget for food. Depending on the student's housing choices and personal habits, this can be highly variable.

Books-Books, supplies & supplemental course fees can vary widely by academic program and destination.

Personal Expenses-Personal spending habits vary greatly. Students should budget for personal travel and activities, laundry and toiletry items, and other necessities.

Room & Board-The program fee for this summer opportunity includes lodging.

Health Insurance-This budget assumes students will purchase CISI travel health insurance through the University of Arkansas (instructions are provided to the student upon admission). This coverage includes emergency and non-emergency medical & mental health treatment while abroad, as well as medical and emergency evacuation and repatriation of remains.

Visa-Short-term entry requirements for Germany and other Schengen countries varies according to the student's citizenship. US Citizens do not need a visa if they will be in the Schengen Area (including Germany) for less than 90 days.

Passport-$140 is the approximate total cost of a new passport. Immigration requirements for most study abroad destinations require that a student's passport be valid for at least 6 months AFTER the conclusion of their study abroad program. Expediting a passport application can be more expensive.

Immunizations-The Office of Study Abroad recommends all students to the Pat Walker Health Center Immunization & Travel Clinic. Students can review travel recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, and confirm that they are up-to-date on all required or recommended vaccinations. Contact the Travel Clinic at 479-575-7723.
