Program Description:

Arcadia - LSE Program Banner
A prestigious reputation fuses with a dynamic campus atmosphere

LSE’s international renown is clear in the diversity of its students, who hail from over 100 countries to study at an institution at the cutting-edge of research in the social sciences — notable departments include economics, politics, law, sociology, social policy, geography, and philosophy.

Located in the heart of central London, LSE has created green space on campus, including several rooftop gardens as well as a special urban beekeeping society. Its vigorous academic environment is best suited for upper-level students who thrive on independent study—if this describes you, LSE may be a good option.

  • LSE’s program structure means that you’ll benefit from its small class sizes and extraordinary faculty for a full academic year—your academic department will assign you a faculty tutor to offer help and guidance.

  • You’ll have the privilege of hearing the many industry and government leaders who come from around the world to speak on-campus about economic or political policy.

  • LSE’s lively campus environment and Students’ Union make it easy to build friendships; you’ll find a wide variety of cultural and sports clubs and societies, as well as shops, cafes, and entertainment venues. You are also welcome to use ULU’s recreational and leisure facilities, as well as research at the libraries of constituent colleges or institutes.

  • LSE’s campus is placed near the economic and legal hubs of central London, including the BBC headquarters and Senate House Library, as well as the Arcadia London Center. Housing is close by too - you are guaranteed housing within a 30 minutes walk of campus, a fantastic commute for London.

  • LSE is part of the Russell Group which represents 24 leading UK universities committed to maintaining the very best research, an outstanding teaching and learning experience, and unrivaled links with business and the public sector.

Excursions & Attractions

Travel to fascinating places of interest that enhance your cultural immersion and give a meaningful context to your academic courses through Arcadia's planned Excursions and Activities.

Arcadia includes many fun and exciting excursions, events, and activities - many of which are free and included in your program, such as a visit to the infamous Tower of London and walking tours of quirky neighborhoods such as Shoreditch. You also have a range of optional excursions and events to join such as the exciting Regional Excursion where we bring together students from our England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland programs as well as a continental Europe event every Fall and Spring semester.

All Arcadia excursions are designed to be fun, interactive learning opportunities where you can visit places of exceptional interest in the country and enjoy experiences that help to illuminate your studies. You could also earn a Co-curricular Learning Certificate (CLC).
