Program Description:

Arcadia - St Marys U Banner
An intimate, active campus community nestled in suburban London

St Mary’s University’s reputation for academic excellence is reflected in its broad range of strong course offerings, which include athletic training, sports science, media and journalism, management, education, and English; its Catholic heritage adds particular strengths in theology and religious studies. You’ll learn in a personalized environment and a quiet setting, all while enjoying the energetic attitude of its student body. If you’re looking to strike a balance between urban and rural for your study abroad experience, this may be a good program option for you.

  • You have the option of joining the Sports Centre in the heart of St Mary’s Sports Village, where many of the track and field athletes trained for the 2012 Olympics—membership levels are available at a supplemental cost.

  • You’ll make friends easily through the robust Student Union, which hosts clubs, societies, sports and entertainment, including balls, music festivals, and the campus radio station.

  • Based on the grounds of the historic Strawberry Hill House near the River Thames in suburban London, you’ll enjoy the leafy charm of Twickenham’s period houses, formal gardens, parks, shops, and pubs—all with the convenience of public transport to the city center. Twickenham Stadium hosts prestigious events, including Six Nations Rugby, the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and the annual varsity match between Oxford and Cambridge.

Excursions & Attractions
