Arcadia Granada Summer Banner
Escape to the charm and culture of Granada in Summer

This thoughtful program is designed to give study abroad students with any level of Spanish language a chance to explore the culture and heritage of this diverse land over the summer in the charming city of Granada. The program is based at the Centro de Lenguas Modernas (CLM) at the University of Granada, which is renowned for its Hispanic Studies, language, and culture courses.

Depending on your language ability, you can choose from two summer tracks offered through the CLM.

  • Intensive Spanish language track - If you wish to start learning Spanish or improving your Spanish language skills, this option is for you. Small class sizes and the latest audio-visual communication tools make these classes very effective for language development.

  • Intensive Spanish language and culture track - If your Spanish is at an intermediate level this option is open to you. You may choose two 3-credit elective courses, or a combination of 1.5-credit elective courses, earning a total of 6 credits per session, from a selection including Spanish language, literature, linguistics, art, history, law, and business. You are not required to take a Spanish Grammar course.
