Excursions & Activities

  • Get a taste of life in rural Australia with a weekend family homestay.
  • Take advantage of part-time work – many students opt for up to 20 hours a week – to earn extra income and get a feel for life beyond university.
  • Get to know Australia’s unique flora and fauna with an interactive hike led by an Aboriginal guide, or take a spooky night tour of historic Fremantle prison – built by its very first convicts.
  • Take a surfing lesson or become a fan of Australian rules football.

Projects

INTERNSHIPS

Bring home more than amazing memories with a valuable international internship. Possibilities include:

  • Sustainable Community Development internship. Contribute to a water auditing and conservation strategies project in Fremantle, or research efficiency of transportation modes in Perth with a Sustainable Community Development internship.
  • Parliamentary or Public Sector Internship (fall). Work with members of the state’s parliament or public sector department to examine affordable housing.
