Dive into the Summer Irish Studies program, where you can study Ireland's rich history in this coastal town. Also known as the cultural heart of the country, Galway is the perfect place to immerse yourself in Irish language and literature. Make the most of your summer experience by studying in Ireland's "most Irish" city!

About Galway
A thriving college town, Galway offers a vibrant and diverse population, yet retains a quaint, small-town feel. Open-air markets, museums, shops and restaurants add to Galway's appeal.

Program Benefits
  • Youthful and lively city filled with art and music
  • Located in a Gaeltacht area, where the Irish language and culture is celebrated and preserved
  • Courses that focus on Irish history, film, archaeology, art, music and culture
  • Excursions complement course work
  • Strong cultural curriculum along side classes that include excursions and events

Scholarships
IFSA scholarships are primarily need-based and factor in any additional cost your study abroad program might have over home school tuition. The awards are $500 for summer programs, $1,500 for semester programs and $2,500 for full year programs. These scholarships may apply to any IFSA program, with the exception of our custom programs.
