Program Description:

Overview

This scholarship aims to enhance diversity in study abroad and will be awarded to students from underrepresented communities (i.e., students who are among the first generation in their family to go to college, have demonstrated financial need, and are members of ethnic minority groups).

Eligibility

The following criteria will be considered for the Johnetta Cross Brazzell Scholarship:

  • Undergraduates only
  • Sophomore standing (30 hours) or above (may apply during or after sophomore year)
  • Financial need (must complete FAFSA)
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8
  • In-state or out-of-state
  • Summer or semester study abroad programs
  • Among the first generation in family to attend college
  • Member of ethnic minority group(s)

Award Amount(s)

Two scholarships of approximately $1,000 each will be awarded.
