From start-up incubators and co-working spaces to already thriving multinational businesses, students will be exposed to a full spectrum of business cultures across Europe. You’ll take the three-credit class Start Ups & the Emerging Economy: Creating Your Own Business while living in the exciting city of Barcelona and traveling to some of Europe’s hottest economic centers: Berlin & London.

Here are just a few of the program's many highlights to look forward to:
  • Logistical and cultural orientations to all three cities
  • Cultural activities such as cinema nights, museum visits, dance lessons, and cooking class in Barcelona
  • Learn why Berlin and London are two of Europe's hottest entrepreneurial hubs
  • Excursions to popular locations such as Costa Brava, Tarragona, Pompeii, or Capri

All students take Start Ups & the Emerging Economy: Creating Your Own Business.

Highlights of Local Life:
  • Soccer match: Barça, Barça, Baaarça! Experience one of the best football clubs in the world and cheer like “culés,” fans from Football Club Barcelona.
  • Barrio tours: Staff will take you on a tour of a neighborhood in Barcelona, showing you the history but also where locals hang out. Each tour includes a chance to try some local treats.
  • Berlin Flea Markets: Most shops are closed on Sundays in Berlin, but you can quench your shopping thirst at one of many flea markets. The one in Mauer Park is especially popular!
  • Portobello Road Market Walking Tour: Hear the angelic voices of the Westminster Abbey choir during the traditional afternoon service that takes place every day in this famous UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • Picnic in the Park: Londoners love their green spaces and are avid picnickers. Bring a blanket, we’ll bring the food!
