Program Information:
Multi-country summer programs with CISabroad are the perfect combination of academic focus and adventure, all while living “La Vida Local” and forming friendships and networks that will last well into the future. Our Design-Your-Own Summer Abroad package allows you to create the summer of a lifetime, while earning academic credit toward your major. Pick any one, consecutive two programs – or stack all three for the ultimate summer learning adventure (and the most cost savings).

Here are some things to expect while on this unique program:
  • Visit an archaeological dig site and speak to staff about the history underneath the soil
  • Hear the melodic notes of a vibrant Scottish storyteller
  • Unique British-focused literature courses
  • Easy access to other parts of the UK and Europe on the weekends
  • Guided travel through four countries combined with independent exploration
  • Diverse course offerings, including international studies, business, literature, history, culture, and cinema
Locations:
Part 1: Unearthing Modern Celtic Culture starts in the traditional, riverside city of Galway, on Ireland’s west coast. Here, you’ll meet your fellow students and professors and program leaders, starting with an orientation on rules, regulations, guidelines, and expectations. After the general/program orientation, you’ll explore your new surrounds via a walking tour of Galway, followed by a welcome dinner. As the program moves through Ireland and Scotland, you’ll generally enjoy a briefing and/or city tour of your new destination upon arrival.

Part 2: Exploring England moves participants to on to London for your studies at University of Roehampton. You’ll also enjoy a campus orientation and welcome dinner. Here you’ll settle into a more independent lifestyle, living and studying alongside other non-CISabroad students.

Part 3: Spanish Culture in Barcelona is an amazing way to close a Design-Your-Own Summer program. The on-site staff will introduce you to this dynamic and cosmopolitan city that you’ll call home, giving you tips on to how to be safe and healthy as well as how to make the most of your time in vibrant Barcelona.

Note: You can apply for Parts 1 & 2, Parts 2 & 3, or Parts 1, 2 & 3 - differentiated by the corresponding dates.
