Program Description:

Kyoto, Japan
Spend a summer in the elegant and scenic city of Kyoto, Japan, with AIFS! Choose from a variety of course options with credit awarded by Fairfield University. Kyoto is famous for its preservation of Japanese traditional arts including the time-honored geisha dance, Buddhist temples, gardens, shrines, and traditional wooden houses.

You’ll earn up to 3 credits awarded by Fairfield University. Take courses in art, history, philosophy, and/or religious studies and stay in centrally located apart-hotels. 

Take day trips to Nara, Uji and Arashiyama and overnight excursions to Ise and Koyasan. Participate in guided tours, cultural site visits, excursions, sightseeing activities and welcome and farewell meals.
