Program Description:
Madrid

Live abroad and gain the international internship experience you need to get hired in today's increasingly globalized economy. You have your very own set of talents, experiences, and personality traits that no one else can exactly duplicate, but how do you prove that to employers? An internship is a great opportunity to gain work experience and working in a new environment enhances those professional skills with attributes of adaptability and self-reliance. Global Experiences' programs provide the opportunity for participants to have the overseas adventure they want while simultaneously getting the experience they need. It's the best of both worlds!

Global Experiences offers internship programs lasting between 8 and 15 weeks in nearly every career field imaginable. Along with a full-time internship, interns are provided with central accommodation, cultural events and day trips, professional networking events, and on the ground support.

Every detail of our programs is carefully selected based on our years of experience and knowledge of our host locations. An internship should be hands-on, challenging, and eye-opening, right? And living abroad should be exhilarating and fun! We get that. Couple our carefully curated programming with our award winning professional career coaching, and you have an international internship program unlike any other.

The capital city and heart of Spain is a city famous for its sweeping parks, grand architecture, fine cuisine and dazzling nightlife. It is a city where business, government, and culture come together to offer a unique opportunity for an intern to experience the vibrant heart of the nation.

If you want to really get to know Spain, then Madrid has to be top of your list. Madrid is the finest showcase for all of the best things that Spain has to offer. Sample cuisines from all over Spain, lose yourself in the winding streets of the old town, hunt for a bargain in the Rastro market, or visit some of the world’s best museums such as the Reina Sofia or the Prado; there is something for everyone in the vibrant heart of the country. As the business hub of Spain you could not pick a better destination for an internship, with almost all major Spanish companies having an office in the city.

Make your dreams of living and working abroad a reality with an internship in the spring, summer, or fall. Come experience everything the vibrant and exciting city of Madrid has to offer with an international internship through Global Experiences.

Housing: Madrid is a large European city with most residents living in apartments, and many of the homes being over 100 years old. To ensure interns can experience "living like the locals," we include housing in student apartments located near main areas, or close to public transport lines. Interns can expect to live in a shared bedroom in a shared apartment with other participants on the Global Experiences program, or other students attending language or study programs in the city. The apartments will have a shared kitchen and the necessary amenities, including Wi-Fi. All participants take a roommate questionnaire to help our team assess the right housing match for you. If you have any special needs, please mention this to a staff member at your time of application and we will discuss accommodation options available.
