API prides itself on including as much as possible in our program fees to make sure that you have a full and rewarding experience abroad. Here’s a quick list of the most common pieces we include in an API internship:
Customized internship placement and advising
Workplace and culture orientation
Housing
Social and cultural activities
Medical and life insurance
Academic credit and transcript available (for an additional fee)
API Global Internships give you an edge in a global economy where companies work with international clients, have global operations, and employ a diverse workforce made up of people from many different cultures.
In addition to test-driving a career through a customized internship abroad, our program has been developed to give you the best career development training and resources to prepare you for a meaningful and successful career!
Why Choose API?
Within the supportive environment of the API programs, API participants are encouraged to explore their host communities and become increasingly independent and confident in their own abilities. We strive to make international educational experiences accessible to as many participants as possible, and, as such, work to provide multiple program components at a low program cost.
“Interning abroad is an opportunity that could change your life. I say it could change your life because I strongly believe that what you get out of an international experience is what you put into it. So, if you are considering an internship abroad, be prepared to give it all you have. Not only do fewer than 1% of American college students study abroad, but even fewer of those do an internship abroad. It is an opportunity to set yourself apart from your peers and have the experience of a lifetime learning and living in a new culture.”
