Program Fee -- This program fee is an estimate. This year's program fee will be set spring 2022. Program faculty and the Office of Study Abroad do their best to keep cost increases at a minimum and to communicate cost information with students in a timely manner.

U of A Tuition & Fees -- U of A tuition rates vary according to level, college, and residency status (tuition rate above estimated at 6 hours UGRD). See more at: https://finaid.uark.edu/cost-of-attendance.php.

Airfare -- The cost of airfare will vary and airfare is not included in the program fee. Additional information about airfare and this program's itinerary will be sent out to all participants. DO NOT purchase airfare until directed by the Office of Study Abroad.

Immunizations -- The cost of immunizations may vary according to each student, depending on how up-to-date a student is with standard immunizations like Hepatitis A & B, tetanus, and rabies. Visit the Allergy, Immunization & Travel Clinic at Pat Walker Health Center for a consultation.

Passports -- Students who already possess valid passports will not need to budget for a new passport. If you don't already have a passport, please be proactive and begin your passport application as soon as possible.

Meals -- Breakfast and dinner are provided during the work week, as well as one group dinner each weekend. Students are free to enjoy local restaurants and cuisine for meals not provided. A typical lunch in Dangriga costs approximately $5-8 USD and meals on the weekends will range $5-25 USD.

Personal Expenses -- Vary according to student and personal spending habits. Weekends in Caye Caulker and San Ignacio provide opportunities for students to participate on additional excursions in their free time. Optional excursions are not included in the program cost and are an additional $75-100 USD each. Past participants greatly enjoyed these excursions (typically snorkeling in Caye Caulker and the Actun Tunichil Muknal cave tour in San Ignacio) and report satisfaction in their additional investment.
